MLB Parks Series: Oracle park

Hi everyone! This is the 3rd post in this series! if you haven't read the other posts I'll link them Here This post is about the home of the San Francisco Giants, Oracle Park!

 

Oracle park is a park that has had many names over its Short 20 year history including the original name Pacific Bell Park, SBC Park, AT&T Park & currently Oracle Park.

The Park opened on April 11th 2000, and was the first privately financed MLB stadium since the dodger's in 1962! They First broke ground for the park in December of 1997


 

Just past left field is the coca-cola fan lot, that features a 80 foot coca cola bottle with 4 giant slides, that light up when a homerun is hit, A Mini oracle park where you can play wiffle ball with your friends or run the bases like a pro! it also features a Giant baseball glove!


 

Oracle Park is not only a baseball park, it also hosts pro & College football games it has hosted The Redbox Bowl from 2002 to 2013, it was a temporary home for The university of California in 2011, The home of the San Francisco Demons of the XFL in 2001.
